There is a new suspense thriller out for adults and young adults in The Mist by Stephen King. The movie trailers for this movie looked very scary and it is apparent that the main focus of the movie is actually on the relationships of the people stuck in a threatening situation together. When in a dangerous and threatening situation such as in this movie the worst possible actions and decisions and personality traits of people are often brought out. This is the type of situation where people latter regret their actions and all kind of prejudices and bigotry reveals itself. The movie trailer for Stephen King’s The Mist reminded me of a time when I was younger and found myself in a threatening situation with some of my best friends. We were desperately lost on a camping trip in a remote area that was thirty degrees below zero at night. We had gotten separated from the main group and were severely limited on supplies to keep warm and our supply of food and water. All of my best friends became completely different people and many showed their true selfish personality which was much different than their normal personality. I even surprised myself and harsh words were spoken between me and some of my best friends. It took many years till we finally forgave each other completely. and moved on.
