Digg: Why don’t you like families and women?

August 20, 2007 Family Help Tree Rants | FamilyHelpTree @ 9:34 pm

Digg: Why don’t you like families and women? Currently there are no categories specifically for women or families other than “Science > Health”. For some reason though there is every sport including Hockey, Extreme Sports, and Other Sports?:

Baseball, Basketball, Extreme, American & Canadian Football, Golf, Hockey, Motorsport, Soccer, Tennis, Other Sports

Surely there are some other women using Digg.com? Surely some of the democratic, linux using, atheists are also parents?

Digg users, it is time to add a category specifically for women or families. Please join together and Digg this and get Digg’s attention.

I appreciate your comments and opinions.

  1. Probably because Digg usage precludes focus on family, and that counter-culture is coupled with an utter lack of women, or the avoidance of the discussion.

Digg is not a “family site” perse. Digg is a voter-based interest site. If you submit articles about family and the popularity warrants more allocated space (such as the need for a PICTURES section) then it will become part of the Digg review.
