Rolling Head Thermometer

March 18, 2008 Family Health | Comments (0) FamilyHelpTree @ 3:53 am

I really want to get one of those rolling head thermometers. They are so much better than other thermometers. Every other thermometer takes too long. Rectal, ear, and armpit. Have you tried taking the temperature of a screaming baby? It is almost impossible and just upsets them more.

Marijuana Addiction issue Raised in Alcoholic Discussion

February 5, 2008 Family Health | Comments (0) FamilyHelpTree @ 11:01 pm

Marijuana Addiction issue Raised in Alcoholic Discussion

I received a comment from Esteban today on my 17 Signs of an Alcoholic post. Esteban basically said drinking while working does not mean someone is an alcoholic and that he smokes marijuana everyday before and after work. Here is my response:

“Esteban this is a typical point of view from someone who is looking to justify their actions. I can speak from personal experience that I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that smoking marijuana causes you to be less motivated to work for your family whether that be in giving 100% effort in your job or in spending time with your family. Smoking marijuana every day is an addiction my friend but you are addicted to an action and addicted to selfishness whether or not the actual drug serves as an addiction for you or not. But that is not the issue here. The issue is alcoholism and I think many of your marijuana supporting friends would take issue with you comparing alcohol use to marijuana use as there is clear data of the physical and mental damages alcoholism causes. Drinking and driving is never a good idea. And I assume you drive to work…”
