New Baby Sleep Schedule
When your new baby is born he or she will often have a reversed sleep schedule. That means that your baby will be accustomed to sleeping more during the day than at night. While a newborn baby does sleep a great deal, breast fed babies will often sleep less which can cause a lack of sleep at night. The best solution is to encourage a feeding and sleeping schedule as much as possible with feedings every three hours. Increased or longer feedings prior to bed time and more active stimulation during the day can help your newborn baby transition to the correct schedule.
